Dr. Maggie Eidson Fader has spent her career treating the cancers that are hardest to get right, the sarcomas, solid tumors, and leukemias in children where the standard playbook often isn’t good enough. That experience is what drives her work today: as Chief Medical Officer at First Ascent Biomedical, she is pioneering how functional tumor response data and advanced analytics come together to change the way oncologists choose therapy, replacing guesswork with evidence for patients who cannot afford a wrong guess.
A board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist trained at the University of Miami and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Fader built her career at the bedside before setting out to change what happens before the bedside, ensuring physicians have the right data in hand when it matters most. She remains based in Miami, Florida, with an ongoing affiliation with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Fader joined First Ascent Biomedical because she believes functional precision medicine will not just refine cancer care, it will redefine it, giving physicians and families a clearer, faster path to the treatment that actually works.
